The villa is located in Maneli town; a small resort situated in mountainous site with Caspian Sea beyond. The design approach is to focus on local architectural principals to create a vernacular building within the pristine fabric. Raised building, roof overhang, natural cross ventilation and perimeter site drainage are the foremost strategies to achieve the goal. Moreover, utilizing local materials and craftsmanship helped to reduce construction cost and create an engaged building within the surrounding context.
